Gameweek 9 Team
A colossal disappointment.. I took a risky -8 double hit with my double transfer to change four spots in my team. Bamford and Watkins were planned, both blanked. KDB and Dias were not planned and both blanked.

GK – Martinez, McCarthy
So this is the bad part of 4.5 rotation. Another week of selecting the wrong option. McCarthy continues to rack up save points, while Villa throw clean sheets away for fun.
DEF – Robbo, Dias, Dier, Taylor, Lascelles
Moved a bit earlier on Dias than I had planned due to the Trent injury. Big at the back finally (kind of) worked, even with the Dias blank. Robbo looked fantastic off the back of the Scotland qualification, while Taylor and Dier finally cleaned.
MID – KDB, Barkley, Soucek, Salah, Reed
KDB in the team to stay now. I held onto Mo as I didn’t want to burn another transfer and had some cover off my bench in the back. Barkely injured after 90 seconds LOL and Soucek got the clean point.
FWD – Kane, Bamford, Watkins
Blanks all around! I wanted to transfer Kane out, but don’t want to keep on taking hits. Spurs look decent going forward, so might end up holding onto this front line until my wildcard.
Gameweek 9 Reaction/Takeaways
I’ve taken a large hit to change the template of my team to a 3-4-3 until my first wildcard. I’m happy to stick with my current GKP rotation. I have Robbo, Dias and Dier with Taylor in reserve for my three defender spots. Mo and KDB are nailed in the midfield. Soucek I am holding until wildcard probably, as he can pop up with a set-piece goal in any fixture at his price. I might need to transfer Barkley now if he’s injured.. Happy enough with my front three, especially Bamford and Watkins who I just brought in. Both pass the eye test. Most likely to move off of Kane, maybe even to free up funds to bring in a Grealish or Fernandes in midfield? Or bring Trent back in? I have a bit of funds ITB and happy to have flexibility moving forward.
